I joined the INRIA MIMESIS team in Strasbourg as a PhD student in September 2021. The aim of my project is to develop an autonomous system for catheter navigation inside the vessels, exploiting deep reinforcement learning algorithms and biomechanical principles.
I completed my Master degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, with specialization in Biomechanics and Biomaterials. There I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in Fluid Solid Interaction analysis thanks to my master thesis project, aimed at comparing the pre and post-operative biomechanics of patients who underwent ascending aortic graft substitution to treat ascending aortic aneurysm.
